Students at Cazenovia HS in CNY took up the challenge to build a manufacturing cell in their PLTW CIM class. Each group of two students then put their cells together to make a factory. In this factory a robotic arm takes a part from an electric parts feeder, goes through a pneumatic deburring process, gets a slot cut in it, and then is palletized. Students had about 5 class days to complete this project using Lynxmotion robotic arms and fischertechnik building kits.
