ADI Designs Vibratory Feeder for Hazardous Locations
Erie, Pa. – An ammunition manufacturer needed a solution to feed primers, the part used to light the propellant in weapons, in a hazardous location. Automation Devices (ADI) was able to fill that need with a vibratory feeder designed for hazardous locations.
ADI’s ammunition primer feeders are quickly becoming the standard for orienting and feeding throughout the ammunition industry as a large number of domestic and foreign ammunition manufacturers are selecting an ADI air purged vibratory drive unit, coupled with an ADI 6-inch stainless steel feeder bowl.
“The features of this system include an air purged drive unit to keep hazardous residue from entering the drive unit’s inner workings and a pressure differential switch ensuring that if the air purged drive unit loses positive air flow, all power is disconnected,” explains Kevin
