Question by KitCat =^..^=: Can a kitten who is a boy get along with an older cat who is a girl?
My friend’s cat recently had kittens and she has decided to give them away. Two of the kittens are girls, and one is a boy. I have an older cat (about 7 or 8) who is a girl. I thought it would be best to get one of the girl kittens, but it seems that they have already be claimed for. Will it be okay to have the boy kitten in my home along with my girl cat? Will there be fighting or territorial problems? Thank you in advance.

They will be fine. You just have to introduce them slowly to each other and give them time to adjust. I’ve done this may times b4. Its usually easier when its 2 males or 2 females. But males and females can cohabitat together with no problem. Just give them time. The age difference might make it hard on your older cat, as far as the kitten wanting to play, so keep that in mind if your female starts to swat at him.
