Question by balthasar: can eating a mouse make an inside cat sick?
today, when i visited my grandmother, i noticed that her cat was acting a bit odd. my grandmother told me that earlier that week, Gracie (the cat) had caught a mouse and ate half of it. she was very lethargic, she didn’t protest when i picked her up like she normally does, and she was shaking her head, as if it were shivering, when i visited. she’s 4 or 5 years old, and all her shots are up to date. help!
before my grandmother adopted Gracie 2 or 3 years ago, she was a stray cat. could this have anything to do with her symptoms?
Answer by zenli
yes, especially if the wild mouse has worms.
your cat will get worms too.
also, if the mouse has been poisoned, it could kill your cat.
