Question by Smilees! 😉: can feline aids in a male cat pass on to a female cat that they mate?
Answer by midorijj
FIV (feline aids) is not typically passed through mating, but usually through male cats fighting or from a mother to kittens in the womb. However, sometimes cats will fight a little while they are mating (the male cat bites the female cat’s scruff) so it is possible for it to be transmitted this way I’m sure. FeLV or Feline Leukemia is, however, transmitted through mating.
