Question by The One: Cat Behavior Problems. Urinating on Bedding and Bed.?
My female kitten, which is 10 weeks old, has a problem with urinating on bedsheets, bedspreads, and the bed itself. She actually peed on my spouse and myself one night.
She uses the 2 (two) litter boxes we have through the house, and she is the only animal in the house.
I took her to the vet today, and he said keep her confined to one room, but how long will that work… it doesn’t correct the problem.
How can I correct the problem? I don’t really know how to properly discipline a cat.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Your kitten is still young, so when she feels the urge to go, she doesn’t have a lot of time to find a good spot before it’s too late!! Some kittens get a little confused, and anything that feels soft under their paws is enough to stimulate them into going to the toilet. As she gets older, she’ll only be stimulated by dirt or cat litter. The best thing you can do right now is to place her in her tray every couple of hours. I know this will be a bit of a chore, but if you give her no opportunities to go in the wrong spot, she’ll learn quicker, and also she will become more conditioned to going when she feels the litter under her paws. In the meantime, keep her off of bedding etc. She will grow out of this, but you can help her along by trying what I’ve suggested.
Best of luck – be patient & consistent. She will improve!
