Question by Lee: Cat eyes: is it conjunctivitis/pink-eye?
Hello:
My cat may have conjunctivitis or pink-eye. It’s Memorial Day weekend so we’ll have to wait till Tuesday to see a vet. I thought I’d see if anyone here has any suggestions on care for the eye. It’s really not too severe looking, but she did have some crusty matter around the eye this morning and now her eye is a bit more closed than the other along with a small amount of discharge. This little darling is always getting into something so I can imagine that she may have gotten something in her eye during her frolicking about the house (she’s an indoor cat), but it could be conjunctivitis/pink-eye. I’m not sure.
With all that said, does anyone here have a suggestion on how to treat her eye until we see the vet on Tuesday? And/or are there any over the counter items we could try for such an eye problem without seeing the vet?
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Lee

Check to see if in your area there might be a cat emergency vet. Some area do have um, but they cost, too.
