Question by sminthian1980: Cat Food……..?
We’re always trying to push our human standards onto our pets. How many times has your pet cat left a chicken, sheep, or cow at your back door? That’s not what they want to eat. If you saw a cat food that was made of mice, rats, sparrows, and starlings, would you get it for your cat?
Answer by freswood
No, for two reasons:
– I’m vegetarian, but understand that cats need to eat meat. I’d would therefore feed them meat from a large animal, fuelling an industry that gets a lot of meat per animal. It sounds crazy, I know, but somehow logical.
– I’ve become to attached to the birds that visit our house each day to even contemplate using birds as a food source.
Cats only go for mice and birds because they’re small enough to kill. They probably don’t really care where the meat comes from.
