Question by ♪Elan♪: Does it cost to have a cat tested for feline leukemia?
And does it cost to have them tested for allergies? Thanks! And thanks everyone who answered my previous post about feline leukemia.
Thanks everyone for your answers! My cat has already been vaccinated for feline leukemia, my parents did this when they had him neutered, but they said that they did not have him tested. What would happen to a cat if they had leukemia already and ended up taking a shot for it?
Thanks for all the answers 🙂 I am wondering one more thing: Let’s say my cat is a carrier of leukemia and hasn’t shown signs of it yet, would a test show that he has leukemia? or would I have to wait to have him tested in order to find out?

Yes, it usually costs, the vet has to buy the tests (and they aren’t cheap), but if you could find a low cost spay and neuter place that offers tests, it would probably be a lot cheaper. As for the allergies, this is probably going to be more expensive, because you usually have to take them to a specialist for extensive testing to find out what they are allergic to.
