Question by Noah’s Mommy & Ava due 9/11: Ergo carriers: What accessories do you need?
I’m trying to avoid getting unnecessary items. I’ve been browsing Ebay for carriers but there are quite a few different “accessories” that you can purchase as well.
1) I will probably need the infant insert, correct? Are there any other inserts after that point or do you just remove the infant one once baby can support him/herself better?
2) What are sucking pads?
3) Is there anything extremely different about the models(i.e. a 2006 model vs. a newer one)?
Hopefully snagging one within the next couple of weeks so I just want to make sure I get everything I DO need and avoid what I don’t. Thanks!

A lot of people say you can just use a blanket instead of an insert. I used a moby to carry my daughter when she was very little now I use the Ergo and presonally I don’t see any of the extra accersories necesarry at all. The ergo itself has a zipper pocket in the front and I put in her paci and even her bottle in there. I honestly don’t know what a sucking pad is but I wouldn’t buy it cause I don’t see the need for the extra stuff. One thing you do need if your a little bigger in size or have wide hips is a extension belt (I really don’t know what their called but they make the ergo longer from the hips/waist).
