My dad found a stray, brought her home, and then found out she has some sort of feline immune deficiency – also known as feline AIDS. The vet told us she might have a false positive due to being outside for so long, and to retest her 4 weeks later. It’s been 4 weeks today, and she tested positive again. But none of us wants to put her down, so we’re keeping her. The saddest thing is that she was clearly someone’s cat – she’s sweet, loving, not afraid of people at all – and they just abandoned her. Why do people abandon their animals?
