This is what it looks like when a cat has asthma. It looks like a cat trying to hack up a hair ball but no hair ball is ever produced. Our cat had it at an early age but his hacking episodes were not frequent. The older he got, the more frequent his episodes became. He was hacking throughout the day and the vet didn’t know what it was. He tried X-Rays, blood tests and Hair Ball medicine. I suggested to the Vet that it could be Asthma, but he didn’t listen and wanted to send us to a specialist. We went to the specialist and suggested to him also that it could possibly be feline asthma. The specialist didn’t believe us after showing him this video and wanted to conduct 00 worth of tests which none of them included testing for asthma. Finally, I begged him to subscribe the asthma inhaler and he finally did. After couple of treatments of the asthma inhaler our cats symptoms were gone. He stopped hacking almost immediately. We had to order the AeroKat which is aa Feline Aerosol Chamber which allows you to administer the medicine (AeroKat.com). The medicine we order is expensive in the United States so we have to order it from a Candian Pharmacy. We order from canadadrugsonline.com and get 6 months of medication for around 0. In the United States it would cost us about a month. The AeroKat cost about and we have been using the same one for 2 years now and it’s still working great.
