Question by Susan M: Feline Diarrhea?
My cat’s been having this diarrhea problem for a while. We’ve taken her to the vet numerous times and have changed her food. The food change resulted in some improvement, but she still does not have solid stool and occasionally goes outside the litter box still. I’m in college and don’t really have the money to keep sending her to the vet, and my father is a total douche who might do something drastic if she goes on the carpet again. I guess my question is: if you’ve tried changing the food, what else is there to do and how expensive would it be? Should I give her up to the shelter? please help 🙁
they have done a fecal sample and the results came back for no parasites. we have tried medication but that didn’t help either as the cat would not take it usually. the food she is on now is a specific, special diet. i don’t know the ingredients off the top of my head. she has also has blood work done with no results for diseases.
i probably will not take her to a shelter, just feeling a little hopeless and discouraged.

My cat has a feline version of Crohn’s Disease, and I have to get her a cortisone shot every 5 weeks (only $ 21). Ask your vet if your cat has this same problem.
