Question by mrb1017: Getting a new kitten…Will my other cat get behavioral problems?
I have had my cat for about 1 1/2 years and I have decided to get another. I would like to get a sibling for him from the breeder that I purchased him from. Should I get a female or a male (sister or brother)? And will my cat be at risk for any type of behavioral problems (spraying, acting out, etc.) or are the transitions to a multi-cat household usually smooth? Thanks.

New kitten equals time and patience! Cat almost always work everything out. Two males often do well together and form close bonds.
