Cat Urine on Carpet, Cat Stain Remover(s) or How to Get Rid of Cat Urine Smell(s)

There are numerous Cat(s) HealthCare reasons why a kitten or cat leaves a deposit of a hairball, vomit, feces, diarrhea or urine where we do not want it.  This usually indicates a need for a visit to the veterinarian.  However, the stains and odors left behind can be obnoxious.  The first step to rectifying the stain or odor is immediate attention before it dries increasing the removal difficulty or costing funds to hire a professional cleaner.

First always clear away any solid or semi-solid matter.

There are numerous excellent cat urine on the carpet products on the market to clean up and remove the stain and odor. 

Excellent home products include detergents, club soda, ammonia and vinegar.

A solution of ammonia or vinegar will often work on hardwood floors but a commercial cleaning product may be needed.  Dried stains on your hardwood floors may require more effort including stripping and re-staining.  Hence cleaning up quickly is essential.
