Question by Beckie D: Help understanding my cats behavior.?
I have a near 2 year old female tabby. She is wonderful. We have attempted to find a house friend for her. We had a male cat but had to give her to a friend because at the time, neither my cat nor him were fixed and we didn’t want a litter. We tried a female kitten given to us by a friend to try and then she became very anti-social, lethargic, and distant from everyone and everything. As soon as we gave back the cat as we were trying to find the right fit, she came back to life and was chirping and happy again. So Just yesterday, we brought home another cat. This one is older and male, but fixed. She is also fixed now. But she isn’t back to her old ways, but seems like she wants to brawl with this new one. Are we going about this all wrong? And if we are, do we keep this one or give it back? I just want what is best for both cats and it seems like we have not done that as of now. I would love to keep this new cat, he is just the most adorable and sweetest cat. PLEASE help!!
