Question by Timothy T: how do i know if my cat has a hairball? what are the symptoms, and what can i do for him?

Your cat will sound like it’s coughing or choking in an attempt to get the hairball up. There are several products available for controlling hairballs. Most are a very thick, tasty paste that you can place in your cat’s mouth. If you can’t put in it’s mouth you can place a small amount on the top of the front paw, the cat will lick it off.
