‘Kitten-Proof’ Your Home
Similar to brand new parents who have to ‘baby-proof’ their homes, new pet owners also have to ‘kitten-proof’ theirs in order to prepare for the arrival of their new kitten. Kittens tend to have lots of energy and are very curious little creatures, so everything at your home needs to be safe as possible.
Below is a list of ways to ‘kitten-proof’ your home:
Gather all small and breakable items and place them in an off-limits room To keep your kitten from climbing or hanging on things, be sure to remove all table cloths from tables Either wrap or cut cords to blinds to avoid your kitten from getting tangled up Secure all cleaning products in closed cabinets Lock and secure all window screens and doors Unplug all appliances when not in use Place houseplants in the off-limit room (many of them are poisonous if ingested)
