Question by Anonymous: kitten training …?
ok, so i got a kitten. he learned how to retract his claws a few days ago, now he’s climbing everything.
heres the question: how do i teach him to be a good hunter?
i need him to be a merciless, resiliant, bird killing machine.
i also need him to run towards noise, rather than away from it, as he seems to be scared of noise.
objective target: crows (thats why i need him to be tough)
so how do i train him to do this?

I dont’ think think your plans for the kittens are a good one. It’s not good for cats to be hunting birds as they can get very sick from the parasites from the birds. There’s one specific parasite called toxioplasmosis which can cause cats to become blind over time. As well, toxioplasmosis is dangerous for pregnant women who are explosed to this as it causes severe damage to the fetus or miscarriages.
I htink there are other ways to deter birds from your property and I would look into those and perhaps find a new home for the kittens if your only use is as a hunter.
