-MOtoR BiKE Jemi one shot PART ONE- The Kansas summer breeze danced like a child finally feeling the rain pour down in the field full of crops spindling up high. Down the very far end corner of the field, behind a few yards of fences covered with green shrubs curling in between the vines. And behind that was a cottage made of stone, one floor only so basically a cottage bungalow with 3 windows spaced out decoratively. The front door was driven with moss creeping in the cracks and the door handle a mark of silver. Inside the cottage living room was a fire place, one of those old ones where you had to get a chimney sweep to unclog it. Up the chimney was filled with dust, if you looked up it, the outside sky would be blurred by the blacky ash but you would still hear the crows call sweep the air clean and run down the chimney leaping into the cottage. The wall paper was a neutral creme colour patterned at the top head board railed around with pictures of farm animals. The couch was old and torn in places after being used as a scratch post for the owners’ tabby cat. The floor was a light wooden brown and the room filled with framed pictures of the family one in particular of a hispanic looking girl about 14 wearing glasses, braces and her brown hair loosely curled down. The photo looked about 4 years old and it was pretty obvious since it was engraved ‘2006 for life’. The girl’s name was Demi and was sitting on the torn up couch.
