this is my 55 gallon turtle tank, with one 5″ red eared slider and a 1.5″ baby RES in a seperated holding container that shares the water with the tank. There is also 3 koi ranging from 5-7″, a 6″ red belly pacu and two comet gold fish that were once tiny feeder fish for the turtle. the tank is filtered by an external canister filter that runs through an undergravel filter to handle the extra large bio load. the canopy is raised a foot above the tank, enclosed with plexiglass. this is done to make room for the turtle basking dock and also for the mangrove plants to grow in. I will be putting up a slate stone background for the section between the canopy and the tank, to make it look like a waterfall
