Servals are unfortunately very popular in the exotic “pet” trade, we recently rescued Servie the Serval after her owner of ten years was hospitalized and unable to care for her any longer. People often buy wild species of cats has kittens and cubs not realizing the huge commitment they are taking on in terms of cost (these cats can live well over 20 years) the wild habits these cats have (including spraying EVERYWHERE) and of course the danger involved in owning these large cats. Then what happens to these cats when they are no longer wanted???
