Question by theoneandonly: about kitties……??
Well I got 2 kitties that the mom left…they mom is an outside cat. I never had kitties before I have 2 dogs. But I love animals so I decided to take care of the kitties. I bought them kitty milk and right now they are 15 days old. I wanted to know if any cat disease are contagious to dogs. and I wanted to know if kitties with FIV and Feline leukemia have any symptoms so I can know. Thanks

First off FIV has to be detected by a blood test. There is no way to know ahead of that. I have an FIV positive cat and had no idea until the test was done. The problem I had that day was that she was constipated. They went ahead and tested her for everything at my request and found out she was FIV positive. She was two years old and I had no idea. Also, dogs and cats do not share diseases. Their make up is different. They could share: fleas, mites, ear mites, things lake that, but no diseases that I know of.
Are these babies going potty on their own. Most kittens this young cannot pee by themselves and need stimulation. Just rub from center of tummy to butt to help stimulate.
