Question by Tabby: Best cat litter to use around a child with asthma?
My two year old suffers from asthma. Traditional clay clumping litter sets off his asthma BAD!! Because of all the dust in it and the perfumes as well. Has anyone used “World’s best cat litter”? Is it truly dust free? Would it be safer around my child?? im not overly concerned about the odor control, my one and only concern is using it around my child.

I have a client who has two cats and a child with asthma. She uses Feline Pine.
When I take care of the cats when they are away and tend the litter boxes I haven’t noticed any dust when adding fresh litter. It doesn’t track much either.
If you decide to try this one you’ll need a different scooping tool. You will have to get something like a child’s sand box shovel or a giant spoon. Something without holes, because you don’t sift this litter, you lift out the wet stuff or the feces.
Where the cat urinates, the litter pieces turn into a damp sawdust-like material.
