Question by ♥: which cage for a syrian soon-to-be mummy?
Hi, i’m gonna get a syrian girl and breed her – with mango 🙂 but the girl (Lollipop) needs a cage lol – obviously. so in your opinion – which of these do you like better considering she’s gonna have some babies in there XD
What i like about that is thebig opening at the top for very easy access, for taming and for just like picking the hams up 🙂 i have a shelf i could like attatch to that aswell. and its really massive 🙂
(The Sagittarius cage, if it doesn’t come up right)
What i like about this – is its really cool design. the bridge, and everything. and it actually COMES WITH accessories etc, unlike the duna multy. but what i don’t like about thiss is its really rubbishy small openings, one at the front, one at the side. I’ve always used rat cages for my syrians and they have huge top openings so i dunno if i’ll be used to it. are the small openings actually ok to use, cus it looks really like difficult to catch them lol. and i’m not sure if it suitable for babiees :S
Urm…i dunno what to say about this. it doesn’t look very big – and its rather like the Ferplast Duna Fun which i really liked and i think looks actually better than this one (but my old hammy, Pearl chewed her way out of 2 of them :L) but i dont wanna buy another duna fun lol 🙂 i dunno if this fuzzball thing is suitable though… – but anyway. tell me what you think 🙂
If you have any other suggestions for my lil Lollipop they’ll all be welcome XD and i was thinking about a plastic box cage – but my robos use one and that was really tough work, lol, so i’m gonna buy lolly one 🙂 — and also i am considering a second hand rat cage btw 🙂 or a new one 🙂
Oh and which one would you use? the duna multy or the sagittarius, or the Fuzzball HAmster xtenda thing? or even the duna fun again..? thanks alot!

the first one but remember what i said to you on your first post go back and read how to do the breeding please i dont want a bad mistake to happen to your babbies!!
omg i accedentaly deleted it here is a step by step on how to breed..
# Place strips of toilet paper or facial tissue in the cage so mom can build a soft nest. Ideally, you would do this once you realize your hamster is pregnant (it is usually pretty noticeable a couple of days before birth, just by the sheer size of her belly).
# Don’t try to handle the babies at all for at least two weeks.
# Once the babies have arrived, don’t worry about cleaning the cage for a while. Leave it alone for the first 10-14 days. You can spot clean really wet spots if absolutely necessary, but avoid disturbing the nest. If you have noticed your hamster is pregnant, do a thorough cleaning to prepare for the new arrivals.
# Make sure to provide plenty of food and fresh water, but make feeding and watering as efficient and calm as possible.
# While it is okay to have a quick peek in the cage on occasion, avoid siting and watching for long periods.
# Keep in mind that the mom will be very protective as well so may act more aggressive than usual; this is natural and no cause for concern.
# make sure you remove all hamsters from cage once she is pregnant. she will stay pregnant for up to 28 days so be patient.
and here is some food tips to keep the mom and babies supper healthy
-bene-bac it comes in a little packet and cost about $ 4
sprinkle it on carrots, apples, or celery; make sure they
are sliced small.do this once a day.
-fruti>diet put 1-3 pellets in there for each hamster it
is also usually what they use at pet stores so your hamster
will love it.do this once a day.
i have a hamster about 6 years old and has been eating this for 5 years so its really good!!!
hope i help and follow the rules like i said we dont want any bad things to happen…
get the first one then leave your hamsters in the same cage then when shes pregnant put her in there i like the 1st one becouse there is nothing for the babies to get hurt in.
