Question by dolphinsilversea01: Spaying Cats – Other reasons than population?
I have never had personal experience with a female cat having a period like a female dog can. I recently adopted a female cat and was told that it would be wise to have her spayed so she doesn’t bleed all over the place when she has a period. Is this true? I have had female cats before, but never one that bled all over the place.

No I’ve never experienced that…..I have 3 unspayed female cats. They never go out and won’t be getting pregnant. I don’t want to spay them because the 3 female cats I’ve spayed in the past have changed from being friendly and loving before the op to aggressive and antisocial afterwards. I don’t want these 3 to change in personality. My male cats are neutered so there won’t be kittens.
My cats don’t have periods! I’ve never heard that.
