I really would like a cat, and i was wondering what are all the things I’ll need and want for my cat?

1. What are all the supplies i need?

2. What shots does a cat need to have?

3. Any tips on caring for one?
I want to adopt a cat from a shelter.
Not a kitten just an adult cat.

Being responsible enough to ask a great question like this is the first step. I highly recomend a litter box. If you want the healthiest cat possible don’t let it outside. Have lots and alots of toys. Kitties get bored. It will be fun for kitty to “hunt” for food. Put the kitty kibble around the house. Even buy toys that you can put the food into for the kitty to find and then get it out of the toy to eat. Help kitty to live in “nature” inside your house.

The vet will recommend all the shots your kitty needs visit the vet for the first few months often then after kitty is a year old you need not go anymore often than once a year. Get kitty fixed as young as you can. That helps with many behavior problems not even getting off the ground. Just like the living “nature” in your house will help the kitty be healthy mentally and physically.

Get kitty a leash and teach it to walk on one if you want to take it outside. The supplies for your kitty are not to bad. The food should be Iams or Science diet one of the real good foods that have the urinary tract help. Also make sure to buy a litter that is dust free. These things are more expensive, but well worth keeping kitty from getting sick. The vet bill to help a poor kitty in pain will be much more costly Than a good kitty litter or good food.
