Question by Samm D: Teacup Chihuahua help.?
I got a new puppy and the person who sold him to me said he would be 4-5 pounds when he grows up. My parents refused to get a dog over 9 pounds and I settled for this dog. My problem is I wanted a dog that I could go for walks around the block, go to dog parks, go hiking and stuff with. Can a dog that small do those thing? Play sports and stuff go for runs? I have fallen in love allready and dont want to get rid of him becuase my parents would think I am giving up, but I dont want an accessory dog that looks cute in a bag or sits around the house and cant go do anything that I want to do because of his size. I heard they cant even jump off the couch when they are fully grown… I am so confused and I definitly dont want to have a dog that is just there to be taken care of and to play tug of war every once in a while. >_< I dont know what to do!!! Help!
I know there is no such thinng as a teacup... I was just trying to explain his size.
So I know he probably wont be good for the stuff I want to do but if he cant do those things what should I do? I dont want to get rid of him! I really really dont, I feel terrible enough for thinking of it. But I cant just go out and buy another dog I dont even know if I should get another dog!

welp looks like u did get stuck with an accessory dog – chihuahuas are toy dogs – and there is no such thing as teacup – just a better word for runt or poorly bred dogs. as for biking it’ll be a definite no unless you bike very slooooowly so he can keep up. running maybe … not for long. i don’t think u can get a dog for those things if your parents are stuck on no dogs over 9 pounds.
