The Importance of Exercise for Your Dog in the Winter
With the cold weather upon us, many of us dread the freezing cold dog walks. I know I do! For me and probably many others, the thought of bundling up in a parka and braving the icy cold wind at 6am is not the way I prefer to spend a Sunday morning. However, regular exercise is of the utmost importance for your dog. Especially in the cold weather months, your dog can get cabin fever, just like we do, and they require fresh air, sunshine and regular walks to stay balanced and healthy. Many dogs with high levels of energy require more exercise than others, and without it can become destructive, anxious or depressed. As the days get shorter and there is less daylight, dogs can get just as blue as we can. So, take your dog out for a brisk walk….your expensive couch will thank you!
