This is primarily a camcorder demo test of the new T-Mobile HTC HD2 superphone / smartphone. This is the US version of the HD2 that debuted March 24, 2010. But this is also another of my pet cemetery videos. As you can see the video came out very well for a cell phone camcorder function. The HD2 has a 5 megapixel camera. I had the camcorder set on max/best settings. I uploaded the raw file, which was 154MB for a 10 minute video. The video is one of the best places in the City, the closed down Presidio US Army base, specifically the pet cemetery. This was where Army personnel buried their pets in the fifties through to the base closure in the nineties. Interestingly, grave markers indicate people are still burying pets to this day. (See grave stones with “2010” “2008” and “2007.”) I have shot other videos of this pet cemetery. In this one you can see that they have chopped down the trees and there’s construction equipment and material for the Doyle Drive Golden Gate Bridge approach upgrading (to make it safer in the event of an earthquake). Having used many digital camcorders (starting back in 2002) and many cell phone’s with a camcorder function, IMHO the HD2 performed great.
