Question by Radio Flyer: What dog accessories do I need?
I’m adopting a dog in 2 weeks, and I want to know what accessories I’ll need for him?
Here’s what I’ve thought of already:
Dog collar
Leash
Bed
Blankets
Dog shampoo & conditioner
Food
Toys
What else?
He’s 2 years old, and I’m not too keen on crate training him. He’s already had a tough life, I want him to feel safe & loved. Crates throw me off a little bit.

you may want to bring something from his home that he is at now. Like a favorite toy or his blanket. This will help him adjust to his new home better.
You also want to make sure you get a license for the dog, not just the one with his name and number, but also register him with your county’s licensing department (most counties require this for dogs).
Make an appointment to bring the dog to the vet within 48 hours of bringing him home. This will be a well check-up and to establish him with your vet.
Is this a puppy or an adult? You may need wee pads for the puppy.
You will also need a kennel, if you plan on crate training him.
Best of luck to you!
