Question by 6js59: Where/How would a cat contract the FCoV infection or develop FIP?
What household/environmental things can cause it? How can I protect my cats?

Keep up with your annual vaccines and your cats should stay healthy. Indoor cats if they don’t have it already will probably never catch it but if your cat goes outdoors or you bring in another cat with it then they can give it to each other. Alot of stray cats tend to have this from living outdoors and never getting vaccinated which is why you need to protect your cat with vaccines incase it comes in contact with other cats that have it. They give it to each other through scratching and biting I believe.
