Question by TechnoNerd: Why is my cat such a fatty? And other cat health questions?
My cat, Kobe, is 9 years old and is a black and white Devon Rex. He’s a really long cat, sort of the cat equivalent of a Dauchsund, but is also 20 pounds. He’s adorable and sweet, but has a large belly that you can grab the fat off of. He eats basic Iams, but quite a bit of it, but also runs around the house a lot. Could he have a really slow metabolism? He’s an indoor cat, and is fixed.
Also, Kobe has dandruff, and I suspect also ADD. How can I get rid of his dandruff WITHOUT baths? (He loathes baths). And is there anything I can do to improve his focus? He is distracted by anything that shines or moves, or any noises.
Thank you so much!
My vet says he’ll get sick if he eats anything other than IAMS. :'(

ok, first off, cats dont get ADD. the distraction crap is just cat nature. lol. the dandruff i think is weight related. i cant explain how or anything, but my 2 cats that are over weight have the same problem. i would stop feeding him as much. ask a vet how much a cat his age and breed should me eating. also, feed him 3 times. like if the vet said 3 cups of food, u would just give him 1 cup 3 times a day. i wish u the best of luck.
